MPEG Encoding for VCD using TMPGEnc
- Double click your shortcut to TMPGEnc. If wizard shown below does not
start automatically, select the "File->Project Wizard" menu option.
- The first wizard dialog box is shown:
- Click on either NTSC or PAL VCD option
- Click the "Next >" button
- The second wizard dialog box is shown:
- Click the "Browse..." button located to the right of the "Video file"
box and select your .avi file.
- Click the "Next >" button
- The third wizard dialog box is shown:
- Click the "Other settings" button
- Click the "Video" tab and change the motion search precision to "High Quality"
- Click "OK"
- Click the "Next >" button
- The fourth wizard dialog box is shown:
- Click the "Next >" button
- The fifth and last wizard dialog box is shown:
- If necessary, change the name of the output MPEG file
- Click "OK" button
- One of the following dialog boxes will appear. Click the "OK" button.

- Your video will then begin encoding. This may take many hours, depending
on the length of the video and the speed of your computer. Once it has
finished the following display will be shown:
You are now ready to author the MPEG file onto a VCD.
